The first
annual Diversity Conference (Conference) was
held on November 1, 2004 with a remarkable
attendance of over 300 University and Health
System members, and has continued to grow in
purpose and scope. This half-day Conference
opens with a morning keynote speaker and
continental breakfast followed by workshops, and
culminates with a luncheon and keynote speaker.
Workshop topics generally focused on issues such
as recruitment and retention, defining
diversity, legal issues in higher education,
conflict resolution, and more. The event is
hosted each November at the Homewood campus and
registration is open to all Johns Hopkins
officers/administrators, faculty and staff.
